Albert Park - Melbourne
The Brief
A blended family of six wanted a stylish, functional home that balanced the charm of the original villa with modern comfort, durability, and a few unexpected design moments—all while respecting its historic character.
What We Did
The home was stripped back to its bones, reworked to restore original features—custom mouldings, fireplaces, and timber floors—while introducing modern elements throughout. A sculptural staircase anchors the layout, complemented by natural stone finishes: Super White quartzite in the kitchen, Carrara in the bathrooms, and Taj Mahal in the studio.
Each space features bespoke cabinetry with integrated lighting and tailored colour palettes. The kitchen includes hidden appliances and high-performance fittings, while playful bathrooms and a calm master suite balance style and practicality. A carefully curated lighting plan adds depth and cohesion.
Outdoor living is equally considered, with an alfresco kitchen and marble herringbone tiles that visually connect to the interiors. A New York loft-inspired studio adds further versatility and flair.
Blending craftsmanship with innovation, this home layers history with forward-thinking design. It’s a timeless, refined retreat—bold in its vision and grounded in thoughtful detail.
