Bring a sense of the client’s personal style and love of colour to create a sophisticated family home.

What We Did

My client and her family recently returned to New Zealand after years of living abroad, bringing back a wealth of cultural influences. We embraced this by blending their treasured collections with contemporary designelements to create a unique, personalized home.

In the open living area, we customized furniture to complement the space, including stylish bar stools and a serene reading nook that captured the natural light. For the seating area, we balanced sophistication and family-friendly functionality with bespoke swivel chairs in a bold animal print, a curved sofa, and a glamorous bronze coffee table.

To connect the indoor and outdoor spaces, we used Jardin furniture, echoing interior colors for a seamless flow. Inthe TV room, we designed a dramatic custom bouclé sofa and a striking pill-shaped ottoman, paired with a blush pink shelving unit to display the client’s art and collectibles.

The master bedroom was transformed with wall-to-wall wallpaper, highlighting a green cabinet and a cane bedhead for a peaceful atmosphere. We also introduced playful pink palm tree wallpaper in the laundry area, adding a joyful touch and tying together the home’s color scheme.

This project was a celebration of blending old and new, creating a space that truly reflects the family’s journey and style
